Si sono giorni meravigliosi. Sarà l'atmosfera orientale, le voci della medina, il canto dei muezzin ma Tangeri è davvero un crocevia di storie affascinanti. Per le stradine della Rue de Casbah sembra ancora di vedere Jack Kerouac, Truman Capote, Allen Ginsberg, Paul Bowles, William Burroughs intenti a scrivere i loro grandi romanzi. 

Ve lo ricordate il romanzo Il the nel deserto? Ebbene Bowles lo scrisse proprio qui e Bernardo Bertolucci girò il film nella camera dove io sto dormendo all'Hotel Continental. 

Vi pare poco per risvegliarmi beata?

RIOLO TERME: SPA, BEAUTY AND WELLNESS

Riolo Terme. My four days at the spa with a wellness program! A place out of time, water and therapeutic mud wellspring that flow naturally from volcanoes in Bergullo: Terme di Riolo. A real treat. Those who follow me on social network have been able to see a preview of this resort where I rested a few days , unplugging phones and computers.

In the heart of Romagna, in Riolo Terme, there is also a high-level spa built in 1870 and surrounded by a park of twelve acres, with liberty pavilions. By day you can immerse yourself in the warm waters ( classified at the first level by the Ministry of Health), in the evening you can walk in the light of ancient lamps and under the branches of trees. The same people who have witnessed the passage of Lord Byron, the poet Carducci,  Bonaparte and Joachim Murat. I appreciate the respect for privacy, the cleanliness of the rooms and the warm towel that is handed  you by the lifeguard  when you're about to go out of the water. The spa pool is large, with natural 32 degrees waters, has more than 40 hydro-massage jets and is free of chlorine because disinfected with ozone. When out of the water the skin is so soft that you do not need any cream even after a shower.

"It's our little gem, and we devote a lot of care - says Giulia Pasotti 25 years and a degree in political science, speaking about the spa his father took over - in the pavilion there is still something original from the liberty era, like the skylight, but much has been destroyed during the war. maintains the charm of the past but we have one of the most advanced spa  in the current landscape , with a really innovative beauty medicine center and a center for natural methods. "The director of the Terme di Riolo is Gianmarco Lanzoni, who is also Minister of Tourism of Riolo, his grandfather was the guard of the castle: "There are beauties around here that leave you breathless, 14 caves, medieval villages, castles and hermitages a field from 18 hole golf course located next to beautiful badlands".

Un luogo fuori dal tempo, acque terapeutiche e fango sorgivo che sgorga spontaneamente dai Vulcanetti di Bergullo: le Terme di Riolo sono state una vera scoperta. Chi mi segue sui social network (@pfgstyle) ha potuto vedere alcune anticipazioni su questa località dove mi sono riposata alcuni giorni, staccando cellulari e computer.

Nel cuore della Romagna esiste dunque uno stabilimento termale di alto livello costruito nel 1870 e circondato da un parco di dodici ettari, con padiglioni liberty estremamente affascinanti. Di giorno ci si immerge nelle acque calde (classificate al primo livello super dal Ministero della Salute), di sera si passeggia alla luce di antichi lampioni e sotto le fronde di alberi centenari. Gli stessi che hanno visto passare Lord Byron, il poeta Carducci, i principi Bonaparte e Gioacchino Murat. 
Ho apprezzato il rispetto per la privacy, la pulizia dei locali e l'asciugamano caldo che ti porge il bagnino a bordo vasca quando stai per uscire. La piscina termale è grande, con acqua salsobromoiodica a 32 gradi, dispone di oltre 40 getti di idromassaggio ed è priva di cloro poiché disinfettata con ozono. La pelle, of course, resta talmente morbida che non serve alcuna crema nemmeno dopo la doccia.

"E' il nostro gioiellino  e le dedichiamo molta cura - racconta Giulia Pasotti 25 anni laureata in scienze politiche il padre ha rilevato la struttura e l'ha rimessa a nuovo - nel padiglione c'è ancora qualcosa di liberty originale, come il lucernario, ma molto è andato distrutto durante la guerra. Manteniamo le suggestioni di un tempo però abbiamo uno degli stabilimenti più all'avanguardia nel panorama attuale, con un centro di Medicina estetica davvero innovativo e un centro di Metodologie naturali con percorsi dedicati all'alimentazione".  
A dirigere le Terme di Riolo è Gianmarco Lanzoni, che è anche assessore al Turismo di Riolo, il nonno era la guardia del castello: "ci sono bellezze qui intorno che lasciano senza fiato, 14 grotte carsiche, borghi medievali, eremi castelli e un campo da golf a 18 buche situato a ridosso di meravigliosi calanchi".

Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo anche nelle strutture alberghiere. Ma di queste parlerò nel secondo articolo dedicato all'ospitalità raccontandovi dei due hotel presenti all'interno del parco, la cui direzione è stata affidata ad Eugenio Iannella.

Riolo Terme. Monday, a day that I really like. Because it always marks a beginning, something that has yet to happen. I know, I link to my trip with my job, then probably you will not agree with me. 
But perhaps the vice of us writers is that we tie the present day to the words and we like to say and describe. Everything seems to us an emotion, a happening. And when anything  does not move, we say it is the perfect time, that of silence and listening. 
Rather than feeling useless we invent something. As Oscar Wilde once said: "The writer who calls spade a spade should be compelled to use it." And I'm not able to do.

Terme di Riolo. Ed eccoci al lunedì, un giorno che mi piace tanto. Perché segna sempre un inizio, qualcosa che deve ancora accadere. Lo so, lo legate al lavoro e quindi non sarete d'accordo con me. Ma se ogni tanto sciogliete la corda del quotidiano e liberate l'immaginazione potrebbe anche capitarvi di apprezzarne il sapore.  

Ma forse il vizio di noi scrittori è che leghiamo il presente alla parola e ci piace pronunciare, descrivere, illuminare. Tutto ci sembra un'emozione, un accadere. E quando non si muove alcunché diciamo che è il momento perfetto, quello del silenzio e dell'ascolto. 

Insomma, pur di non sentirci inutili qualcosa ci inventiamo. Come diceva Oscar Wilde: "Lo scrittore che chiama zappa una zappa dovrebbe essere costretto ad usarla". E io non sono capace.

ANCORA VENEZIA CON MILLELIRE AL POLSO

Here there are some photos of my days in Venice, I have seen many things: a beautiful exhibition of Léger, a shop of antique laces, the Museum Correr. I was wearing a t-shirt and a bracelet MILLELIRE, a young brand that works with leads to the old Italian banknotes.

Le giornate a Venezia sono passate velocemente. Tuttavia ho visto e amato moltissime cose. La mostra di Léger, per esempio, un negozio di pizzi antichi o una giornata come questa spesa a fermare le immagini. Perché ogni cosa può dissolversi da un momento all'altro. E le emozioni perdersi in mille accadimenti. In questo clima di morbidezze, dunque, mancava un accenno pop, che ho costruito su di me indossando la T-shirt di Mario Costantino Triolo. L'ho abbinata al nuovo braccialetto MILLELIRE POP dedicato a Giuseppe Verdi.
Questo delizioso accessorio in cuoio, realizzato dal brand StileMillelire, mi ha accompagnato al Museo Correr facendomi vivere alcuni incroci con il passato: sul mappamondo del Correr, affiancato a una manina per l'elezione del doge del XVIII secolo e infine sovrapposto all'opera forse più nota di Léger.

LA SULTANE DE SABA VOYAGEZ AU-DELA DE VOS SENS

During my staying in Paris, I was invited to try an extraordinary beauty experience: the beauty center La Sultane de Saba, a magical place where you can harmonize your inner self again. Vanessa Sitbon, the founder, conceived her centers to be journeys toward the enchanting Orient: the historical, perfumed, silent and mystical one. I took the "La Détente à l'Orientale" treatment at the "Vincennes" structure, in 24 Rue Lejempte, but you can get yours also in other two spas in Quartier Montorgueil or in Place Victor Hugo.

So I started my adventure with a long stop in the Hammam to purify my body, then I had a gommage with Savon noir de Eucalyptus to drain the impurities. Laid on the hot rock they applied on my face a Boue du Dèsert mask and on my body a Karité butter cream. So they covered me in cellophane and let me rest for ten minutes. I was already relaxed but the next step was simply amazing. Feeling the Bol Ayurvédique Shirodara from my head to my feet made me dream about the far away gardens of Marrakech. A modeling oil and a massage were the perfect conclusion to this trip. When I went out I felt like I was reborn, in a wonderful day of sunshine in Paris. I felt like I really wouldn't have asked for anything more.

Durante la fashion week di Parigi sono stata invitata a provare un'esperienza beauty sensoriale davvero strepitosa. Si tratta del centro benessere La Sultane de Saba, un luogo magico dove puoi riaccordare le note con il tuo io. La fondatrice, Vanessa Sitbon, ha strutturato i suoi centri come fossero percorsi e tappe di un viaggio, come se oltrepassando la porta si aprisse un varco verso l'Oriente magico. Quello pieno di storia, di profumi, di legami mistici, di silenzi. Per quanto mi riguarda ho fatto il trattamento La Détente à l'Orientale presso la struttura di Vincennes, in 24 Rue Lejemptel, ma potete anche prenotare presso le altre due spa in Quartier Montorgueil o in Place Vctor Hugo.

Ho dunque iniziato la mia avventura con una lunga sosta nell'Hammam per purificare e disintossicare il corpo, subito dopo mi hanno fatto un gommage con il Savon noir di Eucalyptus ripulendo la pelle da ogni impurità. Distesa sulla pietra calda mi hanno applicato sul volto la maschera al Boue du Désert e sul corpo una crema al burro di Karité. Quindi mi hanno coperta con uno strato di cellophane lasciandomi riposare dieci minuti, riscaldata e profumata a dovere. Già ero parecchio rilassata, ma il momento successivo è stato un incantesimo. Il passaggio della Bol Ayurvédique Shirodara, una specie di ampolla dalla quale fluisce una minuscola quantità di preparazione, dalla punta dei piedi fino alla testa mi ha davvero portato lontano immaginando i giardini profumati di Marrakech. Un olio modellante e un massaggio al corpo hanno concluso questo percorso.

Quando sono uscita sembravo rinata, in una giornata di sole a Parigi. Non serviva altro.

The SuperAlp! 7. My next trip

Quando ho ricevuto l'invito a partecipare, insieme ad altri giornalisti, sono stata super felice: una settimana in giro per le Alpi a conoscere territori, costumi e antiche vie di comunicazione. Il tour SuperAlp, organizzato dal Segretariato permanente della Convenzione delle Alpi, vuole porre l'attenzione sullo sviluppo sostenibile del territorio alpino. Il viaggio sarà effettuato nel rispetto di una mobilità dolce, utilizzando dunque i mezzi di trasporto pubblici come il treno, l'autobus, la funivia e belle camminate. Naturalmente farò tantissime foto, voi seguitemi qui, su Facebook e Istagram così scoprirete meravigliosi paradisi da visitare al più presto. La partenza è prevista il 5 luglio da Lausanne. 

The Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention organizes also this year SuperAlp! – alpine crossing by using sustainable means of transport (train, bus, cableway without forgetting the most eco-friendly and natural way, walking) SuperAlp! is more than just a journey across the Alps. It communicates the Alpine Convention which essentially represents the toolbox for the sustainable development of the Alpine region, easily transferable also to other mountain regions of the world. The aim of SuperAlp is to raise awareness about soft mobility and sustainability issues, through press articles about aspects of life, culture and nature in the Alps as well as by visiting local and regional authorities which implement good practices for sustainable development in the Alps. The 2013 edition is focused of the Alps as hinge of Europe. A new sustainable itinerary straddling national borders, along ancient communication routes, on the trail of historical populations and new inhabitants.

  

Intercontinental Luxury Hotel. Suggestions part 1

Ogni viaggio è una storia da raccontare, per questo scelgo sempre Hotel molto particolari. Il soggiorno, o la sosta per usare un termine desueto, fa parte proprio di quel viaggio anche interiore tanto caro a Goethe, Stendhal, Potocki e ai grandi scrittori che lo hanno narrato nei ricchi diari di accompagnamento.

A Montreal, in Canada, sono stata ospite dell’Intercontinental Hotel, una struttura meravigliosa di altissimo livello. Camminare dentro quelle stanze è come vivere un pezzo di storia del passato, perché l'edificio Nordheimer che lo accoglie ha più di 300 anni. 

All’inizio era una fabbrica  di pianoforti gestita da due fratelli musicisti, Samuele, al secondo piano c’era la sala concerti. Nell'area teatro addirittura giunse nel 1910 una splendida Sarah Bernhardt. Ma di lei e dell’assenzio vi parlerò nella seconda parte.

Every travel is a story to tell, this is why I always pick peculiar hotels. The stay belongs to the internal travel that Flaubert wrote about and all the great writers that filled entire diaries with their memories. In Montreal I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel, an amazing place to stay. Walking into that hotel is like living a pice of history since the Nordheimer building is more than 300 years old. At the beginning it was a piano company and its room were visited by Sara Bernard

#mfw day 3. The Revenge of free thinking

Dopo la neve (forse nel senso magico di stendere un velo) e la protesta degli ambientalisti (la solita boutade, siate più coerenti per favore) cos'altro si abbatterà sulla Milano Fashion Week non è dato sapere. Se non ciò che vediamo quotidianamente sotto il Duomo e alle sfilate, trasformate in veri e propri set fotografici, che non bastano un paio di sole foto. No di certo. Tutti in fila per quello scatto di fronte al cartellone loggato per dire "io ci sono" che attesta, come le targhe davanti alle case storiche, il "qui è nato" e "qui è passato".

Una sorta di fai da te visto che i patiti dello street style dovevi proprio andarli a cercare, in mezzo a questo freddo e ai fioccherelli bianchi che rovinano gli obiettivi. Ma sulle passerelle ho visto cose favolose, piene di quella rara magia che la riconosci a pelle e ti lasci  trasportare. Dagli stilisti della natura intendo (e qui anche gli ambientalisti si sono zittiti) che giocano con la storia e la disegnano negli abiti, come Andrea Incontri, Antonio Marras o Daniela Gregis. Così, quel filo col passato, lo porti addosso un pochino anche tu. E puoi dire: "io c'ero". 
Quanta scollatura tra i creativi e la realtà. Quanta divergenza tra un pensiero che vola e uno che resta in foto.

After the snow (perhaps in the sense of overlooking the thing) and the protests of environmentalists (the usual stuff, at times not so consistent) what else will fall on Milan Fashion Week we can not predict. All we are experiencing every day in the shadows of the Duomo and the fashion shows cannot be described by a couple of pictures. Not at all. We are all dutifully queueing for a pictures on the main milestones, to be able to say 'I was here'.A sort of DIY since the really fashionable ones were difficult to spot in the midst of snow that makes pictures all blurry and undefined.

But on the runways I've seen fabulous things, full of that rare magic that you recognize and savor.From the designers of nature playing with history and drawing it in the clothes, like Andrea Incontri, Antonio Marras or Daniela Gregis. You can wear a bit of history too and say 'I was there', there is a huge gap between creativity and reality like the one between a thought able to fly and one stuck in a picture.

La portata emotiva di uno stilista la vedi dal suo parterre. Sobrio. E da un front row di professionisti. Poche foto da scattare se non sulla sfilata, del resto di quella si deve parlare. Ché un tempo negli eventi di moda ti trovavi vicino ad Andy Warhol, scambiavi due battute con Jean Cocteau, bevevi bollicine insieme a Truman Capote o facevi considerazione sulle gonne a ruote mangiando sandwich con Alba de Céspedes. Il deserto degli intellettuali oggi, fra la moda, è raccapricciante. Ecco perché Andrea Incontri è stata la bella scoperta di questa MFW, indaffarata a mostrate tutto (o il niente a seconda di come angoli lo sguardo), in una Milano nevosa che sembra imprigionare tutti i comprimari in una trasparente boule de neige. 

“Per me la moda è come creare poesia" dice lo stilista. E si vede. A cominciare dalla messa in scena di questa splendida sfilata, dove l'incrociarsi delle modelle che uscivano ed entravano da una stanza all'altra creava suggestioni di movimenti senza pari. Gli abiti a clessidra sobri ed eleganti, le silhouette anni '50, i pantaloni oversize, le giacche a mantella mi hanno ricordato molto i tempi della Céspedes. 

Vivaddio una collezione avulsa dal contemporaneo "forever dark", da restare impressa nella memoria.

You can see the emotional weight of a designer from the guest list. Very understated. A front row of professionals. Not too many picture taken apart from the fashion show, the real focus, for once. Once fashion shows were all about sitting next to Andy Warhol, chit chatting to Jean Cocteau, drinking bubbles with Truman Capote and talking about skirts eating sandwiches with Alba de Céspedes. The lack of real thinkers today is appalling. But Andrea Incontri is a great discovery of the MFW, where everyone is busy showing off something or nothing and the snow seems to keep all of us in a tiny ball. "To me fashion is like poetry" he says, and you can tell from the fashion show where the models come from one room to the other wearing elegant clothes and accessories, inspired by the 50s, oversize pants, long coats. A collection that finally differs from the ever present black.
