We have seen parading the catwalk, as in this case in the proposed total Max Mar, but also and especially in the field of accessories. Ecco il laminato, estivo, luccicante. Torna a rendere la figura fluida, morbida e molto glamour.  Lo abbiamo visto sfilare in passerelle, come in questo caso nella proposta total di Max Mar, ma anche e soprattutto nel campo degli accessori. A me sono piaciuti questi: i sandali di Christian Dior, la pochette Saint Laurent e gli smalti metallizzati di Essie. Voi cosa ne pensate? Sarà uno dei tessuti forti nel vostro guardaroba estivo?

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A NEW HAT?

If there is an accessory that really makes the difference, it is the hat! And I love them to death. I got more than three hundred types, and I keep some of them protected in old hat boxes I bought in an antiques shop in Paris. Today I want to show you one of my favorite's because it's worthy from time to time to tell a story. This one is a prestigious hat with wide brims created by Isotta Zerri, a Belle Époque designer and one of the protagonists of Parisian haute couture. 

She was born in Bologna and became famous in French capital at the beginning of the XX century. She was so popular that even Christian Dior started a collaboration with her. And her creations were worn by Gina Lollobrigida and Grace Kelly.

Isotta Zerri. Se c'è un accessorio che fa davvero la differenza sono i cappelli. E io li amo tanto. Ne possiedo più di 300, alcuni sono protetti dentro antiche cappelliere che ho trovato a Parigi in un negozio di antiquariato. 

Uno di questi ve lo propongo oggi, perché vale la pena di raccontare una piccola storia. Si tratta di un prestigioso copricapo a tese larghe, con spilla conchiglia in madreperla, realizzato dalla stilista Isotta Zerri, designer della Belle Époque. Protagonista della haute couture parigina Isotta nacque a Bologna ma divenne famosissima nella capitale francese di inizio novecento, tanto che Christian Dior la corteggiò per molto tempo fino ad avviare insieme una collaborazione. I suoi cappelli furono indossati da Gina Lollobrigida e Grace Kelly. Amanti dell'arte qui ci troveremo: 2000 opere in mostra, 172 gallerie presenti ed oltre un migliaio di artisti. Con alcune nuove sezioni introdotte quest'anno: l'arte di fine '800, la fotografia, le gallerie dell'Est Europa e una sezione sulla Cina. 

Nell'ambito di Art City il calendario è davvero fitto, a partire dalla notte bianca con un centinaio di eventi in città e l'omaggio a un grande artista come Giorgio Morandi. Noi saremo giovedì all'inaugurazione. Seguite gli eventi in programma insieme a noi!

Il futurismo sarà un'interessante chiave di lettura ad Artefiera. Gianmarco Marabini è andato a chiedere qualche anticipazione. Ve ne parla QUI nella rubrica The protagonists.

To all the art-lover around the world, here at ArteFiera we're going to find: 2000 paintings, 172 galleries and over a thousand artists. And starting from this year there will be new sections: art of the end of the XIX century, photography, a gallery dedicated to the art of Easter Europe and another one to the China's once.
The calendar of the appointments is really full with over a hundred happenings all over the city, starting with the Withe Night and the homage to Giorgio Morandi. We are going to be at the inauguration but won't miss other stuff. So just keep on following us. "Io sono la porta". Verso l'incoscienza, la spudoratezza, l'irruenza, la sobrietà intellettuale, la ricchezza di intenti, la dissipazione, l'infanzia, la nullità. Perché essere niente è la sostanza. Viaggiare leggeri e riempirsi man mano. 

Alle mie spalle un capolavolavoro del finlandese Alvar Aalto, uno dei designer più famosi del modernismo, che amo profondamente. 

Avete presente le gambe a forma di L curvata dei tavoli, di molte sedie e sgabelli? Ecco, sono stati brevettati da lui nel 1933. Questa forma la vedete anche all'interno della chiesa bianca che si trova a Riola di Vergato, unico suo progetto italiano (è del 1966) a parte un piccolo intervento per il padiglione espositivo della Biennale di Venezia nel 1955. 

Quando il progetto gli fu commissionato dall'allora cardinale di Bologna Giacomo Lercaro, Alvar Aalto andò a Riola per studiare l'esposizione e le forme. Si innamorò dunque dei profili delle montagne e volle riproporle nella facciata dell'edificio. Poi scelse il fiume, vicino al terreno, quale elemento iconografico naturale. Lo si vede scorrere attraverso la vetrata trasparente realizzata all'interno della chiesa vicino al fonte battesimale. 

Tutto è bianco, tutto è luce. Un effetto straordinario. Non perdetevi questa meraviglia. Vale una gita domenicale.  

Ho reso omaggio al modernismo con alcuni geniali stilisti: Dior coat, Arfango blouse, Pirelli boots e la mia nuova chicken bag. Vintage sixties mink hat.

"I am the door." To the unconscious, shamelessness, the vehemence, the intellectual sobriety, the wealth of intent, the dissipation, the childhood, to the nothing. Because being nothing is the substance. Travel light and fill up in the process. Behind me a masterpiece by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, one of the most famous designers of modernism, which I love deeply. You all know the L-shaped curved legs of tables, chairs and stools. Well, he registered the shape in 1933. This form can be seen in the white church located in Riola Vergato, his only Italian project (1966) except for a small work in the exhibition pavilion of the Venice Biennale in 1955. When the project was commissioned by the then Cardinal of Bologna Giacomo Lercaro, Alvar Aalto went to Riola to study exposure and shapes. He fell in love with the place, the outlines of the mountains and wanted to show it in the shapes of the building. Then he chose the river, close to the ground as a natural iconographic element. The river can be seen through the transparent glass ​​inside the church near the baptismal font. Everything is white, everything is light. An extraordinary effect. Do not miss this wonder. Lady Dior sbarca alla Triennale di Milano

A partire da oggi e fino al 4 novembre la Triennale di Milano ospita Lady Dior Bag As Seen By, una mostra itinerante che rende omaggio ad una delle borse più amate in assoluto.  

Icona come mai, accessorio amato dalle donne, Lady Dior venne creata nel 1995. Le lettere dorate attaccate al manico furono ideate in omaggio alla passione di Christian Dior per i ciondoli portafortuna. Il suo era il numero 8: lo si trova nella data di nascita della Maison (8 ottobre 1946), nella sua prima collezione haute couture battezzata con il nome En Huit, nella sede della casa di moda l'VIII Arrondissement. 

Alla Triennale dunque vedrete la borsa interpretata in settanta varianti artistiche. Un impegno al quale non dovreste mancare  restituendo così a Monsieur Dior una piccola verità sulla quale contava. Convinto com'era che a partire dall'arte tutto potesse diventare moda.
